Europe Blog Post
During our Europe Unit in Language arts we did a lot of things to learn more about Europe. In the unit we took notes on power points that Mrs. Pyeatt put together for us, we also had to put on a play for the class that described a certain event that happened in European history. In this play we worked in groups of three and I had Jay Groh and Jaya Mamas in my group. We did a play about Isaac Newton discovering the force of gravity, there were three scenes and a lot of facts jammed into the presentation. I think everybody in the class benefitted from our filmed performance because there was a ton of stuff that our class didn't know in the play. I also think that I benefitted from our own project because I learned a lot about Isaac newton that I didn't know before. Ontop of that everybody else in the class put on a play and I think I learned a lot about Europe because of these presentations that the other students did. The only reason the class was able to put on several presentations was because in the beginning if the unit we learned a lot about European history. We took notes and learned about wars, geography, great leaders, and civilizations. After we finished all the power points that we took notes on, I felt that we knew a lot more about Europe. I am exited to see what more we do with our knowledge about Europe and I feel like I'm armed with knowledge about European history at all times.

Virtue Post
I think that virtue is the ability to make the right decisions in life that will ultimately make you a better person, and by these good decisions you will influence other people and help them have more virtue. Leadership is part of virtue because if you are a leader and make good decisions you will influence other people to make them better people. The best thing you could be is a good role model, if you can set a good example while making the right decisions and being the best you can be you will greatly encourage other people to be virtuous. Virtue is important because it can make your life and others better and can teach you how to appreciate the good things in life. If you have virtue you will feel good everyday just knowing that there is so many beutiful things around you.

Baylis+Sam R+J reading tips
Shakespeare Reading Tips
By Sam and Baylis
1. Perseverance-
When you read Romeo and Juliet the main thing that you should focus on is persevering throughout the book. If you persevere then you'll understand the book better and have more fun reading it, you'll also be able to understand more complicated books if you persevere through Shakespeare's writing because its a good experience.
2.Re-read-
A good thing to do while reading Shakespeare is to re-read complicated parts. By re-reading you will probably find more information that you didn't notice the first time you read it. Also, when you re-read you will understand the book much better overall.
3.figure out root Words-
If you don't know a big complicated word then it's a good idea to look up the prefixes, suffixes, and roots for that word to better understand it. Looking up words will add new meanings to sentences that you didn't know before because you didn't know what the key word meant.
4. Visualization-
Visualizing is an important part of any reading, but it's especially important in Shakespeare's plays because you will better enjoy the story if you can make a picture in your head of what's happening in the book. You can also imagine the setting and what the characters look like if you visualize the story; which, overall, will make the play seem more exciting.
5. Infer-
When you read Shakespeare it opens up the story if you infer a lot. By inferring you can find out things that Shakespeare his into the text such as humor, foreshadowing, and many hidden elements that would enhance your experience while reading Shakespeare's literature. If you combine this method with the other 4 you are sure to understand Shakespeare much better and have more fun reading the literature.
