Scravid Reflection

While reading Enders shadow Mrs. Pyeatt had us use scravid reading strategies to make us better understand the book at hand. I think that that these 7 strategies, summarize, connect, re-read, ask, visualize, infer, decide, worked sometimes and helped you to keep the main idea of the story in your head. Other times where you where at a climatic point in the book, the scravid strategy didn't seem like a good idea because I think it drew away attention from the climax.

  1. That's a good point-- when you have to take a certain number of notes per chapter. It's best when you're skilled enough to figure out when it's important to use them on your own, rather than just filling an assigned quota. I would like to hear more about how and why you used the strategies when it was useful for you.
